Ban Mae Klang Luang (Chiang Mai Province)

Twelve lucky winners went to Chiang Mai to visit Doi Inthanon and to see the beautiful landscape of the steps of rice field at Baan Klang Luang. One of the beautiful rice fields in Thailand created by local wisdom. Twelve travelers stayed at the homestay where they felt the cool breeze while having impressed by the rice field scenery. Later this trip, they went to the top of Doi Inthanon to pay homage to Phramahathat Napamathanidol and Phramahathat Napaphol Bhumisir. The travellers were brought to the Pakakayor Tribe Village to see the coffee plant and traditional woven handicraft. The mountain-top view was worth the walk, so the group members took this opportunity for leisure.

"Royal Project" is a project of His Majesty the King Bhumibol Adulyadej. The key objective of the project is to encourage local people not to destroy the forests and upstream. Especially, the project strives to eliminate the cultivation of opium, maintain the soil properly and help increasing agricultural productivity. For the operation, The Royal Project always do research and encourage hilltribes to grow flowers, vegetables, fruits and animals. In order to make the people be able to become self-sufficient. It is another grace that is left to his people even in remote areas.
